Inside out

You cannot have access to the outside without knowing and loving what is inside.

#in my head

What do you do?

What do you do when you know
Deep inside
In the pit of your stomach
And squatting heavily in your heart
This pain, this wrongdoing is ruining her

What do you do?
When you know it could be very different for her
For them
If only you take a stand and with complete selflessness choose the downward spiral and protect her
And them
(you are so selfish!)

What do you do when all you can hear is a tragic silent scream inside
Your head
Your chest
Your self

For knowing how it can stop
But not having any say in it

What do you do?
Despair and agonize?
Deflect and avoid?
Be numb?
Be mute?

It is not what I am
It is not how I am
It is not who I am
Nor do I want to be

What do you do?
When words fail
And you are facing an empty
Angry
Shell of a person
Unable to care for anyone else.

Thich Nhat Hanh

When you plant lettuce,
if it does not grow well,
you don't blame the lettuce.
You look for reasons it is not doing well.
It may need fertilizer, or more water, or less sun.
You never blame the lettuce.
Yet if we have problems with our friends or family, we blame the other person.
But if we know how to take care of them, they will grow well, like the lettuce.
Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade
using reason and argument.
That is my experience.
No blame, no reasoning, no argument, just understanding.
If you understand, and you show that you understand,
you can love,
and the situation will change.

Leonardo da Vinci

Life is pretty simple: You do some stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works. If it works big, others quickly copy it. Then you do something else. The trick is the doing something else.

Albert Camus

I'm all those things at once.
I'm sure there are times when you wouldn't recognize me...
Extreme in misery
Excessive in happiness

Alan Watts

Death is an undulation in consciousness.
How would you know you were alive
Unless you had once been dead?

Being

It already is.
You don't have to make it be.

Banksy

The people who run our cities don’t understand graffiti because they think nothing has the right to exist unless it makes a profit. The people who truly deface our neighborhoods are the companies that scrawl giant slogans across buildings and buses trying to make us feel inadequate unless we buy their stuff. Any advertisement in public space that gives you no choice whether you see it or not is yours, it belongs to you, it’s yours to take, rearrange and reuse. Asking for permission is like asking to keep a rock someone just threw at your head.

I’m not gonna sit around and waste my precious divine energy trying to explain and be ashamed of things you think are wrong with me.

...
terrified again
of not loving
of loving and not you
of being loved and not by you
of knowing not knowing pretending
pretending
I and all the others that will love you
if they love you
unless they love you

Einstein

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.

What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a mirror
reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.
